Selling Real Estate in Washington County: Well Disclosure

Here's a tidbit you might not be aware of when selling your home in Washington County (i.e. Stillwater, Hugo, Scandia, Forest Lake, etc.).

Even though the 3M hazards are generally contained to the Cottage Grove, Lake Elmo, and Woodbury areas (although not exclusively), every single person in Washington County who sells their home must before signing the purchase agreement, disclose whether they know if their home is in a special well construction area designated by the commissioner of health.

At this point I'm not aware of any specific form prepared by any professional group, but preparing it is very simple and efficiently done. This is the type of thing you need to be aware of when involved in selling or buying real estate. For other tidbits or questions, feel free to give me a call to discuss your transaction.
